DesignBuildFly at MPSTME & MPSTME AeroXperts Team A presents

Weekend Classes

Our weekend classes are a hands-on learning initiative run by DesignBuildFly at MPSTME and MPSTME AeroXperts. We teach the skills that go into designing, building, and flying real uncrewed aircraft and more! Computer vision, embedded programming, drone technology, flight, are all covered! The same skills that took our teams to national finals in SAE AeroTHON!

What You'll Learn...

Our sessions span across modern aerospace and robotics engineering. Whether you're completely new or already tinkering, there's a track for you.

Computer Vision

Learn how machines see. From the fundamentals of image processing to object detection with OpenCV and YOLO the same techniques used for autonomous target detection on real UAVs.

Embedded Programming

Write code that runs on real hardware. Get hands-on with microcontrollers, sensors, and the firmware that makes a drone actually fly working with platforms like Arduino, STM32, and the RP family of chips.

Drone Technology

Understand what goes into a modern UAV — flight controllers, avionics, power and propulsion, and how every subsystem integrates into a flightworthy aircraft.

Flight & Aerodynamics

Explore how and why aircraft fly. Lift, drag, stability, and the design decisions that turn an idea into something that leaves the ground …and more!

Our curriculum grows with the team: expect sessions spanning CAD and design, fabrication, systems software, and the tools we use in real competitions. Kindly note: This page will be updated with the exact dates for the classes and topics shortly
