Think different. Build extraordinary.
Empowering MPSTME students to innovate in aerospace through UAVs, drones, cubesats, and cutting-edge research.
About Us
At MPSTME's premier aerospace organization, we drive excellence in engineering by integrating advanced research, hands-on development, and competitive participation. Our platform highlights our initiatives, facilitates recruitment of talented students, and underscores our commitment to pioneering solutions in UAVs, drones, and now cubesat technologies. Distinguishing ourselves through rigorous research and custom hardware-software integration, we comprise three synergistic teams:
-
DesignBuildFly at MPSTME: A selective team dedicated to the AIAA Design/Build/Fly competition, focusing on fixed-wing aircraft design, aerodynamics, and systems engineering.
-
AeroXperts: Our drone-centric team excelling in multirotor innovations for SAE Aerothon and potential AeroDesign events.
-
ASLS (Air, Sea, Land, Space): An inclusive society open to all, emphasizing open-source software development, embedded systems training, knowledge sharing, and foundational skills to nurture emerging talent.
Collectively, we provide structured pathways for professional growth, from entry-level education to elite competition roles, equipping members with industry-relevant expertise and portfolio-enhancing experiences.
Our Legacy
2022
2023
2025
Founded AeroXperts to compete in SAE Aerothon, consistently delivering outstanding results over four years through innovative drone designs and team collaboration.
Established ASLS to promote open-source development, knowledge dissemination, and skill-building in software and embedded technologies, fostering a vibrant community of learners.
Qualified for SAE Aerothon 2025, launched DesignBuildFly at MPSTME for AIAA competitions, and initiated cubesat development projects to expand our scope into space systems engineering. With a revamped structure, we're recruiting aggressively, enhancing online presence, and aiming for competition wins. Our work spans hardware builds, code development, and real flights, inspiring the next generation of engineers.
